Mister Softee

Saw these in a shopping center parking lot. Two Mister Softee trucks in parking spaces. I didn't see anyone in the trucks. They were still and quiet.
Back in the day, the familiar music from a Mister Softee truck would have all the children who were playing outside (Yes, long ago, children used to play outside every day!) run after the truck and shout:
"Wait, Ice Cream Man!"
"Mom, Dad, can I have some money for ice cream?"
"Yay! Ice Cream Man!"
Some children knew they wouldn't get any ice cream money from their parents, but they'd chase after the Mister Softee truck anyway. If they were successful at making the driver stop, they might be rewarded with a cold treat provided by another parent on the block.
I used to enjoy chocolate and vanilla custard cones! Good memories!
